Note Management
Locked Notes
Disable editing for a specific note
Locked notes prevent accidental edits to important content by making specific notes read-only. This feature protects finalized documents, reference materials, or archived content from unintended modifications.
This is available only for Pro License users.
The Basics
When a note is locked, it becomes completely read-only within Octarine. The editor displays the content but prevents any modifications, ensuring your important documents remain unchanged.
- Visual indication: Locked notes display a lock icon in the file tree and editor
- Content protection: All editing capabilities are disabled for locked notes
- Quick toggle: Lock and unlock states can be changed instantly
- External editing: Files remain editable through external editors if needed
