Workspace Search

Workspace Search lets you instantly find notes by searching through titles, content, and tags. The search bar lives at the top of the left sidebar, right below the workspace selector—always ready when you need it.

Getting There

• Click the search field in the sidebar, or
• Press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + F to focus search from anywhere

Searching

Start typing and results appear instantly. Click any result to open that note—the in-file search will pop up with your search term, highlighting matches within the note.

Filtering results:

• Full-text search — Searches through note titles and content
• Tag search — Include hashtags to find tagged notes (e.g., #project)
• Regex — Click the regex icon to filter with regular expressions
• Match word — Only match complete words (works with regex too)
• Match case — Respect case sensitivity (works with regex too)
• Search in — Limit your search to specific areas like Daily Desk or Templates using the dropdown

Results

Each result shows the note title (with matching terms highlighted) and a content preview showing where your search term appears. When you open a result, the in-file search automatically applies the same filters you used in workspace search.

Navigating results:

• ↑ ↓ — Move through results
• Enter — Open the selected result
• Escape — Clear search and close results
