Managing images, videos, and other media files

Octarine supports a wide range of image and video extensions to be added to a note.

All media attachments are stored in .attachments folder in the workspace folder. You might need to allow hidden folders to be visible in your finder to find the folder.

Allowed Extensions

  • Image — png, jpg, jpeg, gif, svg, webp
  • Video — mp4, webm, mov

Using Attachments

  • You can insert a NEW attachment to a note via:
    • / -> Insert Media — This opens the finder dialog allowing you to select an image to be attached.
    • Drag and drop an image/video from finder over to the note.
  • You can insert an attachment that already exists in the workspace via:
    • [[ command shows you a list of attachments
    • Dragging an attachment from the attachments popover.

Attachments can be resized by using the resize handle. Any width changes are stored in the wikilink format after the pipe character — [[Image.png|450]] where 450 is the width of the attachment in px.
